SPIROL’s Michael Lentini Inducted into New England Fastener Distributor Association Hall of Fame

SPIROL International Corporation is pleased to announce that Michael Lentini, SPIROL Distribution Sales Manager, has been inducted into the New England Fastener Distributor Association (NEFDA) Hall of Fame.

Michael started his career in the Distribution Industry with Atlantic Fasteners in 1997 working in the warehouse. He later moved to Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and then to Outside Sales where he discovered his passion for direct customer interaction and helping people solve problems.

After receiving an MBA in 2003, Lentini was recruited by SPIROL to head the USA Distribution Sales Division where he has served as SPIROL’s Distribution Sales Manager for the past 20 years.

Michael was elected to the NEFDA Board of Directors in 2007 where he served as a Board Member until 2010, and then Vice President from 2010 to 2011. In 2014, Lentini was elected to serve on the NEFDA Board for a second term as a Board Member (2014-2018), President (2019-2020), and then Chairman (2021-2022). Michael helped lead the association through the 2009-2010 economic recession by conserving cash and growing membership, he helped to develop an interactive website and improve the scholarship application, and along with fellow board member Dan Bielefield, he helped implement educational programs to update the skillsets of fastener professionals. 

Today, Michael continues to serve the New England Fastener Distributor Association as the Fastener Industry Coalition representative, working with other associations to strengthen the entire industry.

In addition to the NEFDA, Michael served as a Board Member for the National Fastener Distributors Association (NFDA) from 2009 to 2012, and he currently serves as President of the Fastener Education Foundation focused on generating funding for fastener education and training.
